Vacuum
As a general rule, experts say to do a thorough vacuuming every couple months (more often if someone in the household suffers from allergies). Take sheets off of the mattress and use an upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Work in small circles to get the most out of the cleaning, and be sure to get into seams and nooks and crannies where icky gunk tends to gather.
